Jenny Lockyer is a writer, artist, actor, comedian, singer-songwriter and arts workshop facilitator working with people of all ages in creative projects. Some projects are one-offs, some are ongoing, some are just beginning...
Her one woman play, 'Amy Johnson : Last Flight Out' which she wrote and performs has been touring since 2017. For ages 12+ the play is available to book to visit theatres, arts centres, schools and colleges.
Jenny has written many funny songs full of stories and weird and wonderful characters, some of which have been published in a series of children's poetry anthologies. Jenny has performed these songs all over for cabaret, variety and comedy nights, music and comedy gigs, house concerts, school assemblies, churches, radio, bars, clubs and people's living rooms...and once for the queue in the local chemist.
She has been gigging since 2003 and has supported the likes of Tim Vine, Dylan Moran, Shazia Mirza, Adam Buxton, Arthur Smith and Sara Pascoe.
"Musical comedy joy! A comic songstress with delightfully insane, catchy, charming musical numbers. Mixes the worlds of music and comedy with a guitar, a golden voice and a twisted lyric or two!"
Children and young people
This work ranges from drama and art sessions with special and mainstream schools to Music Time sessions for very young children. Jenny runs arts, drama and storytelling sessions in schools, museums, libraries, festivals and theatres. Jenny has a brand new children's show, Granny Pearl - A Magical Tale of the Sea!, which is available to book.
